                      Shoppingggg!!!!

   HOLIDAY SHOPPING IS SO OVER-RATED. I really don't like spending hundreds of dollars during the holiday season. I know that everyone thinks it's a necessary thing to do to show the people you care about how much you really do care. But, in my opinion Christmas shouldn't be about receiving gifts. I think that it should be about friends and family, being with the people you care about. This year both on Thanksgiving & The day after I worked a total of 18 hours. I had to work 6am-130Pm on Thanksgiving and 4am-2pm on Black Friday. During those times, for the most part I should have been at home with my family, maybe preparing supper. But, mainly spending time with them. INSTEAD, I woke up extremely early on both days and went to bed extremely early. I did not have very much time to spend with my family on Thanksgiving, because all of the stores were open. And GUESS WHAT. We did not have very many customers that morning. What was the point if we barely made any money. I bet they barely even had enough to pay us. I like to shop, but seriously.. opening at 8pm on Thanksgiving and shopping all through the night to save a little money is just to much. You have an entire month to shop, why do it all in one night and make all of those poor employees suffer. When I go shopping, I first make a list of everyone I need to buy for. I then decide what I want to get each person. Then, I simply shop occasionally until I have gotten everything I need. What's sad about the holidays is that if you aren't thoughtful, and you don't buy gifts for everyone you are thought of as uncaring and rude. That's just what I think about all of this. Now, that I am older.. I know what it's like to be the one paying and buying presents. IT MAKES ME SO BROKE! Ha Ha Happy Holidays everyone. :D
